That is true. In the past administrators on the guru site used to occasionally oversee trades where the items value was considered to be over a 'full trade window' which is 100k 1750 ecto (or 1750 black dye if you're feeling petty). However this led to people creating characters with very similar names to the administrators characters, in the attempt to scam. As such, they will no longer oversee such trades. Occassionally people will offer items of a value higher than 250e in lieu of a stack of ecto. But usually with regards to those perfect req 8 15^50 crystalline swords its either accept 100k and 1750 ectos or keep the sword. Unless both parties can agree to a third party...who will then at one point be holding a req8 15^50 cryst and excess of 1750e....try finding someone both traders can agree on for that...

Generaly the High End traders with that kind of cash know each other and some would trade without a 3rd party. This has back fired on one person once but thats another story.

Why?
Why should you feel *whatever* for having the "perfect" weapon, if your not scamming, if everything is there, is there somethign wrong with it?

Surely 1750 ectos is enough.
That would pretty much set you up for ages. Thats about 13Million. The only reason other Crystallines went for 20 Mill is because ecto price was higher.

true, it's all about trust. I've traded cross-game, guild wars- diablo 2, and realms trade (US east - europe on diablo 2) and haven't had any problems yet, while you can easily be scammed during those kind of trades. I think most known high-end traders on this site can be trusted.

If someone trades you 7 lots of 250 ecto +100k, I'm pretty sure they'll be honest enough to trade the rest.

If someone is having problems with settling for 100K + 1750 ectos for an item (even if it is a req 7 +15%^50 crystlline), they have greater problems than just fitting that much cash in a trade window, lol.

When i started trading and using guru, i had a perfect stormbow to sell, and I found it how honest of a guy was and the trust he puted into me , he said he didnt have any ecto, so he gave me 300k before I gave him the stormbow, that really made me think there are still honest people in this world even if they are rare lol

Even if someone didn't trade me the rest of the deal after givin me 100k + 1750 ectos I wouldn't give a toss, I'd be minted enough to last hundreds of guild wars chapters without ever becomin skint. Would you care all that much if they didn't trade you the rest?

It's more that *he* thinks there are lots of honest people who won't scam him. Given how many scammers there are in this game, and that he doesn't know you, it sounds like he is too trusting and is liable to get hurt at some point. Luckily it worked out for him this time, and everyone can feel good about it.
